About Brooke Rich - RD

I’m so glad you’re here! Lets get to know each other. I became a Registered Dietitian to help people not only look their best but most importantly, feel their best. I, too, have walked the long confusing road of health and wellness, trying to decipher the "right" and "wrong" way. I want to help you navigate this arbitrary road and find the beauty in your imperfect nutrition journey.

Fact about me: I'm currently an inpatient Clinical Dietitian. Every day I provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients with various health issues and diseases. What I enjoy most is having the opportunity to interact with patients and share my love for nutrition.

I can remember packing my lunch in school, I brought crackers and an orange thinking this was enough. I wanted to look like the other girls and achieve the "beautiful" body society has made us feel like we need to have in order to be healthy and happy. I sat there watching the rest of the table indulge in their favorite foods while I deprived myself of foods I labeled as "bad" and "off limits." I used to think labeling my food choices and restricting myself from meals I loved would not only make me look better but help me feel better about myself. I'm here to tell you, I was wrong.

For years after this, I dove head first into nutrition and the art of balance. I listened to my body and fell in love with nourishing it to MY satisfaction, not what others think I ~should~ be doing. I finally felt at peace with the unknown and ever changing direction of my health. I realized there was no perfect answer.

I practice my health and wellness everyday and understand it is just that, a practice. I stepped into my most powerful self when I realized there was no destination, but instead, this was a way of living. The beauty of YOUR OWN practice is in the journey itself. I strive to help others heal their relationship with food and step into their most powerful version of themselves by sharing my personal and professional nutrition advice.

Frequetly Asked Question

How does a Brooke create a personalized meal plan?

Brooke will take into account the patients dietary needs, preferences, and lifestyle factors such as how far out from surgery they are, their work schedule, physical activity level, and cultural background. They will also consider any medical conditions or medications that may affect nutrient absorption or metabolism. Based on this information, she will develop a balanced meal plan that meets the patient's nutritional needs and supports their health goals.

FAQ image

How often should I schedule follow-up appointments with my registered dietician?

The frequency of follow-up appointments will depend on the individual's health status and goals, as well as their progress and feedback from previous appointments. Typically, clients may schedule a follow-up appointment after one to three months to assess their progress, make adjustments to their meal plan as needed, and address any concerns or questions they may have. Regular follow-up appointments can help individuals stay accountable and motivated in achieving their nutrition goals.
